Join an award-winning community of student nurses in a school with over 30 years' experience in delivering nursing education. We have an excellent reputation for medical training and have been ranked 4th in the UK for nursing in the QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2022.
Fully accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
Upon successful completion of the course, you'll be eligible to register as a newly qualified nurse with the NMC.
Mental health nursing pathway
You'll learn how to care for people of all ages experiencing mental health conditions ranging from depression, addiction, eating disorders and schizophrenia.
Through expert teaching and supportive supervision, you'll learn to attend to adult patients' medical needs and care for their personal wellbeing. We nurture your creativity, critical judgement, and ability to lead as you develop your clinical skills. You'll be prepared for whatever challenges you might face as a practising nurse or healthcare leader.
Study in an active healthcare environment
We're based in a Medical School in one of the UK's largest major hospitals, Queen's Medical Centre. You'll have the chance to experience placements in a diverse range of settings, such as medical, surgical, acute care and community nursing as well as forensic settings, child and adolescent mental health services and parent and baby mental health services.
Placements are located within four large NHS trusts and local private or independent healthcare providers.

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate: D plus AB in two A Levels to include English. Preferred:- Performing Arts, Art & Design, Digital Film and Video Production,Business IT, Applied Science,Sport, Sport and Exercise Science
We no longer accept Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English in lieu of GSCEs. European Baccalaureate - 75% overall including Science 75%. Graduate 2.2 in a relevant subject. If in a non-relevant subject, science A level grade B or equivalent BTEC/Access is required. Please contact school for further information. Applications for point of entry 2 or higher not accepted.
