Grading & Study Time

A variety of assessment methods are used to carry out formative and summative assessments including: Written Exams - These test factual knowledge, but can also test clinical reasoning/diagnostic skills. Course Work - In some courses, essays or reports are written. Some involve working in groups to produce posters and presentations. Clinical Exams - Clinical, diagnostic skills, disease management and a range of professional skills including ethics are encompassed within clinical exams.

It should be noted that where a candidate is applying for a second or third time, the Admissions team will take into account information from earlier applications and any interview outcomes. Where a candidate has applied to the Aberdeen MB ChB degree programme and been unsuccessful on three occasions, we are normally unable to consider any further applications.
