Course Description
Gain hands-on skills and experience on a course where 50% of your learning is practice based and course completion leads to registration as a qualified adult nurse. Plus, we have some of the highest graduate employment rates in the country.
A nurse needs to be able to assess care needs then plan, implement and evaluate care for people with a wide range of illnesses. This calls for excellent communication skills and compassion as well as specialist knowledge and nursing skills, all of which you acquire from this degree.
Fifty per cent of your time is spent in practice, learning to provide care across a range of settings including medical and surgical nursing, care of older people, community nursing and acute nursing. The other 50% of your time is university based, learning in the classroom, in individual study and simulated practice environments.
Areas of study include care across the lifespan; assessment and interventions; complex care; public health; planning, delivering and coordinating care; and advocacy, empowerment and protection.
Why choose this course?
