Course Description
This programme is designed for students wishing to develop knowledge and skills specifically relevant to sport and exercise settings, as well as more traditional physiotherapy environments.
Graduates gain a professional Master's qualification in physiotherapy, opening up a range of career opportunities as a physiotherapist in the sport, exercise and health and wellbeing sectors. It also provides foundation for further research study.
MPhysiotherapy Sport and Exercise Medicine contains all the modules from the University’s highly regarded BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme. This curriculum is extended with additional sport and exercise specific modules and enhanced research.
You will undertake a range of placements in professional and amateur sport settings, including the University's Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation Clinic, as well other physiotherapy settings.

Professional accreditation This course is approved by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the statutory body for Allied Health Professionals. By the end of your studies, you will be eligible to apply for registration with the HCPC, and will be eligible to apply for full membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

138 UCAS tariff points from an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Health Professions or Science with at least 12 credits in Biology which must be at minimum grade Distinction.
As UCAS tariff to include a minimum of two Scottish Advanced Highers including grade B in Biology, Human Biology, Sports Science or PE
136 UCAS tariff points overall including three Higher Level subjects at 7,6,5 to include Biology at HL6. Applicants must also meet English Language and Mathematics requirements at HL3 or SL4.
DDD in a relevant Health, Science or Sport related subject.
As tariff from five Irish Higher subjects including grade A1 in Biology English and Mathematics at grade D3 or above (Irish Higher) or C or above (Ordinary Level)
