Course Description

Our accredited Computer Science BSc(Hons) is responsive to emerging technologies. Developed and delivered by industry experts it provides the skills you need for a rewarding career in a rapidly changing sector.

You’ll explore software development, software-hardware interface design, programming and artificial intelligence (AI), and learn the processes for making applications efficient, reliable and secure.

Exciting project work and placements put learning into practice and show potential employers what you are capable of.

You’ll be based in one of the most important cities in the UK for digital technology businesses with plenty of opportunities to network and exchange ideas. Professionals will come and share their expertise, giving you the benefit of their experience.

This course is accredited by BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT.

Accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in order to progress to pharmacist pre-registration training and then to register as a pharmacist. Please note, the 5-year integrated MPharm degree programme includes pre-registration training.

Additional fee information

Please note that the £13,842 international fee is for classroom based courses and provisional for 2023. For lab based courses a higher fee of £14,892 applies. EU students will be charged international fees unless they have settled status awarded by the UK Government's Settlement Scheme.

Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study and are subject to an annual increase of no more than 5% or RPI (whichever is the greater). The annual increase for UK/EU students, who are subject to regulated fees, will increase no more than the statutory maximum fee.

The tuition fee you have to pay depends on a number of factors including the kind of course you take, and whether you study full-time or part-time. If you are studying part-time you will normally be charged on a pro rata basis depending on the number of modules you take. If your course includes a sandwich year option you will pay a reduced fee during this year; £1,370 for home students and £2,120 for international students.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.
