Course Description

Tourism is one of the world’s biggest industries and this course provides excellent professional training with an international perspective that will give you practical and transferable skills.

Our International Tourism Management BSc(Hons) covers the environmental, sociocultural and economic impacts of tourism in both developed and developing destinations, alongside contemporary issues in the highly globalised tourism industry.

Your learning will be enhanced by field trips, which have included airside at Gatwick Airport and theme parks in the UK and overseas. You can also look forward to visiting industry guest speakers and opportunities to work on live consultancy projects with local attractions. The optional placement year allows you to build sector experience and management skills in the UK or abroad and gain a competitive edge in the graduate jobs market.

Course content benefits from our links to professional organisations; we are a member of the Association of Tourism in Higher Education (ATHE) and an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

In your second year, you have the opportunity to focus your studies further and specialise in marketing by moving to our International Tourism Management with Marketing BSc(Hons).

Don’t meet these entry requirements? For students who do not hold the academic qualifications or experience required for entry to this course the Business Management BSc(Hons) with Integrated Foundation Year is available to prepare you to progress onto year 1 of this degree.

Accredited by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in order to progress to pharmacist pre-registration training and then to register as a pharmacist. Please note, the 5-year integrated MPharm degree programme includes pre-registration training.
