Course Description
Course Overview
This course will prepare you to be a confident and competent midwife, effectively supporting women, birthing people and their families through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

What you'll do
- You’ll have the opportunity to use clinical skill labs, which provide a safe environment to put theoretical knowledge into practice.
- Within your programme, you will have the opportunity to participate in an elective placement, which can be either national or international, allowing you to explore midwifery in a different setting.
- You have the opportunity to join the award-wining University Midwifery Society and Passionate Midwifery Forums.

- This course is validated by the NMC, the nursing and midwifery regulator for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Future Careers
Your midwifery qualifications and experience will open up a wide range of options to further develop your career. Once you complete the course, you will become a registered midwife, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. You’ll have the opportunity to apply to work as a midwife within the NHS or other independent midwifery settings.
