Course Description
Our Law (Combined) degree is delivered by a team with academic, professional and practical experience. Wherever possible, staff interests and expertise are built into the modules that we deliver. We also endeavour to provide you with additional opportunities. These may range from, the further enhancement of core skills, organising charity fundraising events, and even contributing to the development of the Law School itself.
Criminology: At Chester we offer you a dynamic and diverse course. We explore the relationship between criminological theories and criminal justice policies and practices. You will also look at explanations for crime and antisocial behaviour and how the police and courts deal with such matters. Additionally, you will study the role of punishment and the secure estate, and investigate crimes of the powerless and crimes of the powerful. The issue of human rights is integral to our analyses.

About University of Chester
The University of Chester, as the name suggests, is a university located in Chester. The university is formally affiliated with the Christian faith, but they make it clear in their mission statement that students of all faiths or no faith at all are welcome at their university. Chester operates from a total of six campuses, five of which are in Chester, the other in Warrington, with the main campus building being known as Parkgate Road Campus.
