Course Description
Explore the relationships between creative writing and historical change across a wide range of modules offered by our History&Politics and English departments. The joint degree is the prefect combination for students wanting do creative practice, learn to write historical fiction, and gain cutting edge research knowledge about the past. In addition to creative writing training and history modules, the programme links the student to museums,galleries and creative spaces located in the city. The department teaching team include world recognized writers and historians, including the prize winning Penguin novelist of Unexploded, Professor Alison MacLeod.
