Course Description

The study of sociology and criminology are interconnected. Sociology explores the workings of society and human behaviour while Criminology delves into who commits crime and why.

Studying the two will allow you to explore sociological issues such as race, gender, poverty, education and youth and how these affect our attitudes and responses to crime and punishment.

If you are interested in the issues within the criminal justice system and the impact these have on the rehabilitation of individuals and wider society, then this course is ideal for you.
