Course Description
Italia Conti’s Cert HE in Musical Theatre Performance is designed to train students in the triple threat skills needed to embark on a full-time degree course in the performing arts.
This one-year full-time programme delivers an intensive skills training in the disciplines of Singing, Dance and Acting, alongside rigorous audition technique training in all three disciplines, designed to fully prepare students for drama school applications and auditions, and a range of Musical Theatre rehearsal and performance opportunities.
The programme is organised into modules concerned with the acquisition of core skills in Acting, Singing, Dance and Voice. These provide the foundation for training as a Musical Theatre performer, along with multiple classes to hone audition technique and preparation, ready to audition for 3-year BA programmes. These core skills are brought together in the Musical Theatre Rehearsal and Performance module where students will learn to apply the skills you have learnt holistically in musical theatre performance, with equal emphasis placed on all three.
