Course Description
This exciting new programme combines the knowledge of design principles, ergonomics, engineering science and manufacturing processes to create multi-functional solutions and products.
A career in product design engineering or industrial design will mean you conduct necessary tests to determine whether a product meets all the customer requirements.
By the time you graduate, you will be able to merge your knowledge of engineering reinforced design education and analytical skillset with a sound manufacturing base, enabling you to conceive and develop innovative designs and turn them into manufacturing reality, innovative products and solutions, and profitable businesses.
The programme will also offer to all students an optional placement year that will enable you to experience the real world and effectively connect your knowledge gained at UEL with it.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. The University of East London, often abbreviated to UEL, states their goal being to become the leading careers-focused university in the United Kingdom. UEL operates from three different campuses; Stratford Campus, Docklands Campus, and University Square Stratford. The Docklands Campus is the largest of the three campuses, and is just a 15-20 minute walk away from Central London, and 10-15 minutes away from Canary Wharf by train.
