Course Description
The Edge Hotel School is the home of degrees in hospitality and events management at the University of Essex. Here not only do you study the theory to achieve a degree in hospitality or events management, you gain invaluable experience in a real 4* hotel. The Hospitality Management degree provides you with the knowledge and industry connections to launch your career in hospitality management. You will develop your hospitality skills and business management understanding to open up a world of opportunities in this growing industry. Graduates of this programme could go onto careers in the UK or overseas in hotels, restaurants, spas, cruise ships, airlines, events and visitor attractions. The Foundation Degree (FdA) pathway offers a progression route for applicants who may not meet the entry criteria for entry to the BA programme. Subject to satisfactory academic and practical assessment, you will have the opportunity to progress to the final year of the BA (Hons) degree after the first two years of study.

In addition all applicants require GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent). The Edge Hotel School accepts a wide range of qualifications from applicants, including the International Baccalaureate. The information above is for guidance only.
