Course Description

CLASSICS: - Classics involves the study of the literature, history, art and material culture of ancient Greece and Rome. Study of Latin and/or Greek language is possible at any level. You will have the opportunity to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece as part of your programme. ITALIAN: - Studying Italian opens up the language and culture of a major EU country that has played a key role in Europe’s political and artistic development. Glasgow has a long tradition of teaching in Italian studies, supported by excellent library resources in the subject. You will be taught in small groups, mostly by native speakers of Italian, giving you the opportunity to develop a high level of fluency in written and spoken Italian.
