Course Description
DIGITAL MEDIA & INFORMATION STUDIES: - Digital Media & Information Studies explores the creation, use and impact of digital content and information in the arts, humanities and society at large. It brings a human perspective to the issues of the digital age. Why choose Glasgow? We are the only university to offer this innovative programme at undergraduate level in the UK and are CILIP Accredited to train information professionals. ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LINGUISTICS: English Language combines the study of the history, structure and meaning of the English language, to discover what all this tells us about our culture, our society and ourselves. Over 50 years, we created the world-leading 'Historical Thesaurus of English'. You will also have access to dedicated laboratories for written language. You will have access to two dedicated laboratories for learning about and analysing spoken and written language.

Additional requirements: one A-level Humanities subject.
AAAAA Higher or AAAA Higher+B Advanced Higher (BBBB S5 minimum for consideration) Additional requirements: Higher English and a Higher Humanities subject.
Acceptable in appropriate subject area. Must pass at least two thirds of modules with merit grade.
36 (6,6,5 HL) – 32 (6,5,5 HL) Additional requirements: HL English and HL Humanities subject.

SQA applicants entering from S5 are required to achieve BBBB by the end of S5. Applicants who achieve less than BBBB by the end of S5 MAY receive a conditional offer, but a decision will not be made on these applications until all applications have been reviewed. Conditional offers to these applicants will require them to achieve AAAAA cumulatively by the end of S6.

About University of Glasgow
The ancient University of Glasgow owns and manages three distinct campus locations: Gilmorehill, Garscube, and Dumfries campus. The primary building for the majority of students is Gilmorehill, where learners have the opportunity to earn a degree from the university’s diverse Liberal Arts subjects, as well as participate in well funded research projects.
