Course Description

GREEK: - Greek involves the study of classical Greek language and literature and ancient Greek civilisation. You will have the opportunity to visit archaeological sites and museums in Greece as part of your programme. You will read (depending on options chosen) Homer and other Greek poets, Athenian tragedies and comedies, orators and historians, and the philosopher Plato. You will also learn about Greek political and social history, philosophy, religion and art. LATIN: - Latin involves the study of the Latin language and literature, and Roman civilisation. You will have the opportunity to visit archaeological sites and museums in Italy as part of your programme.
