Course Description
Portuguese embraces the study of the languages, literatures and cultures of Brazil, Portugal and the wider Portuguese-speaking world. Portuguese at Glasgow offers a varied programme, in which you will work in small groups with native speakers from Portugal and Brazil. The programme has long-established links with the Instituto Camões. You will have full access to our Language Resources Centre, which offers excellent audiovisual, digital and printed materials.
Film & Televsion Studies: this degree programme studies cinema and television as major forces of enjoyment and knowledge within modern culture. The city of Glasgow is a major centre for film and television production, and practitioners and policy makers from the creative industries visit the University regularly.

Additional requirements: one A-level Humanities subject.
AAAAA Higher or AAAA Higher+B Advanced Higher (BBBB S5 minimum for consideration) Additional requirements: Higher English and a Higher Humanities subject.
Acceptable in appropriate subject area. Must pass at least two thirds of modules with merit grade.
36 (6,6,5 HL) – 32 (6,5,5 HL) Additional requirements: HL English and HL Humanities subject.
Acceptable in appropriate subject area.
SQA applicants entering from S5 are required to achieve BBBB by the end of S5. Applicants who achieve less than BBBB by the end of S5 MAY receive a conditional offer, but a decision will not be made on these applications until all applications have been reviewed. Conditional offers to these applicants will require them to achieve AAAAA cumulatively by the end of S6.
