Key Course Facts

Course Description

Why an Integrated Foundation Stage? An Integrated Foundation Stage starts your degree studies with a year spent learning the skills required to progress onto a full honours degree. Alongside an introduction to Marketing, Advertising and Branding, you will develop valuable study skills, communication, team work and problem-solving techniques which help to build your confidence and prepare you for the rest of your course.

Why Marketing, Advertising and Branding? Our Marketing, Advertising and Branding degree prepares you for a successful career, as you learn to master the art of persuasion, pitching to clients, managing the creative process and delivering on brief. You’ll explore subjects such as customer behaviour, marketing principles and the global business environment, while optional modules in topics such as luxury brand management and the advertising agency allow you to tailor your degree to your own ambitions. With the opportunity to study global brands on an international trip to Milan (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details), as well as work placements with firms such as Warner Brothers and BMW, our programme of business experiences really helps our graduates stand out from the crowd.

You’ll draw on the expertise of lecturers with extensive professional credentials and research experience, and be inspired by industry guest speakers. The course benefits from Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) accreditation, recognised by major employers, allowing you to graduate with exemptions from the CIM Diploma. You’ll also take advantage of the cutting-edge facilities at our brand new School of Business and Technology building at Oxstalls campus, Gloucester, including equipment you’d find in company headquarters around the globe. Oxstalls is also home to The Growth Hub, where you may have the opportunity to gain experience as a shadow consultant, working with real businesses looking to grow and develop.

Why University of Gloucestershire? We’ve been using our expertise to support and inspire students since 1847. Join us and you will benefit from professional-standard facilities in the beautiful, historic surroundings of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Our vibrant and tight-knit community of over 10,000 students and staff paired with a wide variety of courses means you will have the best of both worlds – a diverse community of sports clubs, societies and activities while also benefiting from specialist lecturers who value you as an individual.

Who Cares? We do. We care about our students and the planet.
