Course Description

Why Nursing (Adult) (Blended Learning)? Our Nursing (Adult) degree gives you both the theory and practical skills you’ll need for a successful career, making an invaluable impact on people’s lives. We will help you build and maintain your wellbeing and resilience within a ‘culture of care’, essential for both you and the people you will care for. You‘ll gain the confidence to lead and manage yourself as a practitioner, the care you deliver and the service that you work in. With opportunities to work with patients, carers and care providers, gaining professional experience through placements in a variety of healthcare settings, our graduates stand out from the competition.

The course benefits from approval by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and has been developed in partnership with organisations at the heart of Gloucestershire’s healthcare system. You’ll also learn from experienced nurses and healthcare professionals.

Developed in partnership with Health Education England, our adult nursing blended learning course includes exactly the same innovative content and structure as our on-campus Nursing (Adult) degree, but with the additional benefit of online teaching and in-person learning at a ‘pod’ location of your choice.

With pod location options in Bath, Oxford, Swindon and Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, you’ll get the flexibility to be able to fit study around your existing circumstances, responsibilities and location. You'll also benefit from direct links with local NHS practice within your pod's NHS trust and increase your potential for successful employment in your area after you graduate.

Why University of Gloucestershire? We’ve been using our expertise to support and inspire students since 1847. Join us and you will benefit from professional-standard facilities, a large learning community and also importantly lecturers who know and value you as an individual.
