Course Description

Our law degree offers wide a range of legal knowledge, which includes optional modules in family law, commercial law, company law , contract law, environmental law and international law.

You will study essential areas of legal knowledge such as public law, land law, equity and trusts, contract law, criminal law and tort law. In your final year, you choose from a range of specialist modules, including commercial law, intellectual property law, financial services law, and international law.

With links to a range of legal, and related, employers in London, you'll have - as a law student - access to a range employability events, including talks and networking opportunities. You can also apply to assist volunteer lawyers on real cases at the university's Legal Advice Centre or apply to assist with the Innocence Project London

What you should know about this course

  • LLB is recognised as a Qualifying Law Degree as you will study the seven foundational law subjects required by the Bar Standards Board
  • The LLB is SQE ready which means that elements within the programme are compatiable with the Solicitors Qualifying Exam implemented by the SRA

On this course, students are assessed by take-home exams, coursework and practice assessments on campus where required. You can view how each module is assessed within our 'What you will study' section. Each course has formal assessments which count towards your grade. Some courses may also include 'practice' assessments, which help you monitor progress and do not count towards your final grade.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental.
