Course Description

The automotive sector is very dynamic, offering excellent career prospects in large corporations, component suppliers and motorsport companies. The University has a long track record of producing skilled engineers for every branch of the automotive industry. This degree course is geared towards vehicle design, although it has much in common with the Mechanical Engineering degree. This course has a particular emphasis on innovative vehicle design, taking into account consumer demands as well as performance targets set by the industry with regard to road safety and sustainability issues. It also provides the first step towards gaining chartered engineer status.
