Our accredited Chemistry BSc will provide you with a solid grounding in the underpinning theory of the subject, plenty of hands-on practical experience in Keele's state-of-the-art laboratories and the opportunity to personalise your learning and advance your research skills by undertaking an independent research project in your final year.

To provide context to the knowledge you are learning, you will also look at ways in which chemistry is applied to sustainable development and the environment. You will examine the political, social and economic impacts and explore topics like nuclear chemistry and energy, geochemistry, health and toxicology and green chemistry.

Established in 1949, Keele University is located in the rural setting of the large town of Newcastle under Lyme. The university’s facilities are all within walking distance from the centre of campus, including Union Square where students can find a Pharmacy, the Library, and even a student Post Office.
