Mathematics can be related to almost every aspect of the world we live in. This is why our curriculum is carefully designed to ensure you have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of the discipline, to prepare you for Master's level study. Your final year will equip you with the advanced knowledge and research skills to enter a specialist career or research area after graduation.

From analytic functions to topics in group theory, in your final year, you will have the flexibility to choose from a variety of research-led, advanced topics that suit your field of interests. You will also complete a substantial project. This will allow you to integrate and apply your theoretical knowledge and problem-solving skills to an advanced research problem within the discipline. To equip you with the skills needed when undertaking research, you will gain experience in working in depth on a problem over an extended period, writing reports and communicating mathematical results to a range of academic audiences.

Established in 1949, Keele University is located in the rural setting of the large town of Newcastle under Lyme. The university’s facilities are all within walking distance from the centre of campus, including Union Square where students can find a Pharmacy, the Library, and even a student Post Office.
