Course Description

Our Electronic and Computer Systems degree has been designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to become a professional engineer with specialist skills in hardware and software.

This course is intended to allow suitably qualified students, to take a one-year stage 3 course. This leads to the same level of qualification as for students taking a traditional three-year course.

Course details

This course is an intensive one-year top-up programme for applicants who have completed one of the following:

  • HND in an appropriate subject (such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
  • SQA HND in an Electronic Engineering subject with a pass in all ungraded units and at least grade B in all graded units.
  • Foundation degree in an appropriate subject (such as Electrical/Electronic Engineering).
  • Successfully completed two years of an appropriate honours degree programme.

M in T Level Health, Healthcare Science, or Science.

ALL applicants must possess a Level 5 qualification, such as an HND or FdA in a relevant area in order to be considered for this course. A copy of your HND/FdA module transcripts will be requested, and the original required to be seen at enrolment.

HND Legal Services: AAA in Graded Units. Other relevant HND qualifications will be considered on an individual basis; please contact us for advice.

Scottish Higher qualifications are considered on an individual basis

31-30 overall or 665-655 in 3 HL subjects.
