Course Description

Overview

Build on your previous higher education studies to gain a full BA (Hons) degree in finance and business communications in just 1 or 2 years.

This degree combines English language improvement with the study of finance.

  • Get your English and business communication skills to a standard where you can use your English to succeed in a global business or finance career
  • Gain degree-level knowledge in subjects such as financial markets, business analysis, financial management and investments

You can do this undergraduate degree in 1 year or in 2 years, depending on your level of previous study and your ability to write and speak English.

Eligibility

This course is open to international, EU and UK students whose first language is not English. A key part of the course is improving your written and spoken business English.

For year 2 entry applicants require an overall score of 51 with a minimum of 51 in each skill. For year 3 entry applicants require an overall score of 54 with a minimum of 51 in each skill.

TOEFL (iBT)

For yr 2 applicants require 72 with minimum of 18 Reading, 17 Listening, 20 Speaking & 17 Writing. For year 3 applicants require 79 with minimum of 18 Reading, 17 Listening, 20 Speaking & 17 Writing.

Cambridge English Advanced

(Taken after Jan 2015) Year 2 applicants require an overall score of 162 with no component score less than 162. Year 3, applicants require an overall score of 169 with no component score less than 162

Cambridge English Proficiency

Trinity ISE

For year 2 entry applicants require Trinity College ISE Level II with a Pass in all 4 components. For year 3 entry applicants require Trinity College ISE Level III with a Pass in all 4 components.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental.
