About this course:
Improve human health and wellbeing by studying a BSc Nutrition and Health at Roehampton, and gain insight into the science behind what we eat. Topics which are covered include:
- Advances in Nutrition and Health - Delve into recent breakthroughs in nutrition, including the impact of ‘omics’ technology, gene-diet interactions, and the significance of diverse nutrients.
- Nutrition of Population Groups - Investigate how various life stages influence nutritional needs.
- Food Science - Gain insight into the science behind food production, quality and safety.

- You will learn about how good nutrition enhances wellbeing and can help manage or prevent disease.

Career Opportunities:
This degree is accredited by the Association for Nutrition, so when you graduate you can become a Registered Associate Nutritionist and help others lead healthy lives. You could go on to work in the NHS, in areas such as health policy or health promotion, or become a public health nutritionist. Alternatively, you could work as a nutrition consultant in the fitness and private sectors and some of our graduates have taken their skills into the food and beverage industry, working in product development or food safety. You could also go on to further study and research at postgraduate level.

About University of Roehampton
The University of Roehampton is a government funded university in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The university began its existence as a women’s teacher training college, and only much later in 2004 became an officially recognised university. Roehampton is made up of four distinct colleges: Digby Stuart College, Froebel College, Southlands College and Whitelands College.
