Key Course Facts

Course Description

A course written by coaches for coaches. Effective coaching in Strength and Conditioning is about far more than sets and reps. It is about building a performance environment, developing relationships with athletes and with other members of the performance team, it is about leadership, management, reflection, teaching, motivating; yet few courses cover these critical components of effective coaching. This course is different. Instead of focussing on what to do, focus is critically placed on how it is done, with the coach’s role placed at the centre of focus – ensuring they are prepared for what the industry will throw at them. Every module has been designed after extensive consultation with coaches and based around the reality of the performance environment.

Each module is delivered in a blended format supported by an initial week long induction and two further week long residential blocks during the course.

The course is aimed at people wishing to pursue a career in the coaching of strength and conditioning or anyone wishing to pursue a career as a coach in the fitness industry.
