Course Description

Designed to meet the ever-increasing demand for knowledge within the global football market, this Masters Degree in Advanced Performance Football Coaching provides the optimal combination of professional and evidenced-based academic training for coaches, heads of coaching, performance analysts, fitness coaches and indeed all those associated with performance player pathways. This is the first coaching course of its kind in Wales and complements the extensive undergraduate football courses offered at the University of South Wales.

The course design has been led by USW sport academics and significantly informed by external partners, including the Football Association of Wales Trust and Swansea City Football Club. The applied nature of the content, delivered by experts in the field, including Premier League and International levels coaches and support staff, offers access to rarely-shared knowledge, and enhances employability through professional development and industry readiness. This unique course will be delivered through a combination of face-to-face teaching (during residential visits) and guided online learning to offer flexibility of study and make it accessible to international students and industry professionals. What’s more, there are three exit points for this course, which means you can study for the Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or the full MSc.
