Course Description
Specifically designed for individuals who have already obtained an appropriate EASA Part-66 certification or a relevant HND, or equivalent qualification. This top-up course allows you to gain a full BSc(Hons) Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance Systems in one academic year or two years if studied part-time.
Building on your existing knowledge of the aircraft maintenance sector, the BSc (Hons) Aircraft Engineering and Maintenance Systems (Top-Up) course consists of academic study in our purpose-built Aerospace Centre fully approved by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
The course has been designed in consultation with industry professionals and is continually reviewed to ensure it meets the current professional demands of the aerospace industry.
This academic year requires students to undertake a significant aviation maintenance related project which will draw on the previous study/experience. It will also introduce the concept of new and emerging technologies in the aviation industry, alongside the planning and resource management of maintenance activities.
