Course Description
This four-year integrated masters will give you the comprehensive knowledge of audiology and the clinical and professional skills needed to become an audiology healthcare professional. You’ll develop essential academic, professional and employability skills and receive clinical training from day one. You'll learn from practising clinicians and researchers at the cutting edge of audiology, at the only UK university with in-house audiology and auditory implant services. Throughout the course, you'll attend practical sessions in our dedicated skills laboratory, consolidating your skills during a 27-week placement, which starts at the end of year two and continues into year three.
The fourth year of study will give you the opportunity to enhance your scientific and leadership skills through optional modules and in-depth experimental research in a field of audiology that interests you.
We'll help you to prepare for your career, supporting you to work on a clinical training portfolio and a professional development portfolio that will stay with you throughout your working life. You'll also have the opportunity to meet representatives from the NHS, the private and charity sectors, and cochlear implant and hearing aid companies at our annual employability careers event.

D in the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma plus grades A*A in two A-levels including mathematics (minimum grade A) or D* in the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma plus grades AA in A-levels including mathematics. Where an applicant is taking the EPQ in a relevant subject this might be considered alongside other Level 3 qualifications and may attract an alternative offer in addition to the standard offer. If you are taking A Levels, this would be BBB-ABB at A Level (preferably including a foreign language) and grade A in the EPQ.

The Welsh Baccalaureate Skills Challenge Certificate will be accepted in lieu of one A Level at the A Level grades specified, excluding any subject specific requirements.
If Mathematics is not taken beyond GCSE, a grade 7, (or A) in GCSE Mathematics, or Core Mathematics grade B is essential
All applicants must pass a selection task assessing communication skills, values and knowledge of healthcare. Satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (i.e. satisfactory criminal record check) and Occupational Health Check are also required.
