Are you fascinated by information and processes and how they’re managed across different industries?

On this MSc, you’ll be taught by qualified academic experts and specialist external lecturers, who’ll cover everything from the fundamentals of the subject to the latest technologies and trends.

We’ll spark your imagination and develop your critical thinking skills with deep intellectual challenges. You’ll also be exposed to the principles of knowledge management, and decision making and design in process systems and business-information technologies.

If you’re a graduate of engineering, science or a related discipline, this course allows you to specialise in the exciting area of information and process engineering.

While you gain valuable working knowledge of what’s involved, we’ll expand your understanding of the technologies and systems used and how these work in practice. To inspire your individual path through our course, you’ll have the option to choose from a range of engaging modules, allowing you to customise your degree to your preferred area of study.

You’ll also have access to a wide range of software and laboratory facilities to maximise your learning experience, including our process engineering facility, a control and robots facility, and signal processing laboratories. If you’re a graduate of engineering, science or a related discipline, this MSc will allow you to specialise in the exciting area of information and process engineering.

You’ll also have access to a wide range of software and laboratory facilities to maximise your learning experience, including our Fluor Pilot Plant, one of the only fully operational pilot plants at a UK university, a control and robotics facility, and signal processing laboratories.

Get advice on which foundation courses are best for you to still study Information and Process Systems Engineering, MSc, if you do not meet the minimum requirements in terms of UCAS score, A levels, or English language requirements.

A minimum of a 2:2 UK honours degree in computer science, chemistry, engineering, mathematics or physics, a related disciplines with demonstrable exposure to programming and mathematics, or other alternative subjects related to data analysis, data science, informatics or process analysis and design, or a recognised equivalent international qualification. We'll also consider relevant work experience if you don't meet these requirements.

English language requirements

IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with 6.0 in Writing and 5.5 in each other element.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.
