Course Description
On this course, you’ll gain an advanced, global outlook on conservation. You learn positive approaches you can use to address conservation challenges.
In the face of global change, there’s never been a greater need for the knowledge and research skills that you’ll develop on this course. These skills will enable you to address the environmental changes facing us today.
We are part of the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme (SSRP). The SSRP provides an excellent interdisciplinary research environment through the School of Life Sciences, the School of Global Studies, Sussex Law School, SPRU – Science Policy Research Unit and the Institute of Developmental Studies (IDS).

You should normally have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above.
Your qualification should be in a relevant subject such as biology, ecology, zoology or conservation. You may also be considered for the course if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing.

London costs approx 34% more than average, mainly due to rent being 67% higher than average of other cities. For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. Students in smaller cities where accommodation is in walking/biking distance transport costs tend to be significantly smaller.

About University of Sussex
The University of Sussex is a publicly funded research university based in Falmer, Brighton. The university is surrounded by South Downs National Park, which makes it the only English university to be situated in a National Park. Sussex also formed part of the 1994 Group, a coalition of research-intensive universities in the UK which was dissolved in 2013.
