Course Description
Health psychologists can be involved in a range of activities within the National Health Service (NHS), ranging from providing psychological assessment and support in acute care situations to developments in the provision and management of psychological care and rehabilitation of people with chronic illnesses. Employment opportunities are available in the NHS and industry as well as in academic settings such as teaching and research. The programme provides stage 1 training towards achieving Practitioner Health Psychology status. In addition to coverage of the British Psychological Society (BPS) core curriculum, the course has a particular emphasis on the acquisition of transferable practical and professional skills.
Entry Requirements / Admissions
Honours degree (minimum 2.1) in psychology with Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) at the British Psychological Society (BPS). Non-graduates with appropriate experience in health psychology are also welcome to apply.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental. The University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol) is a government funded research university situated in Bristol, with Frenchay Campus serving as its main campus in the civil parish of Winterbourne. The campus is 4 miles north of Bristol city centre, which takes around 20 minutes to reach via bus.
