Course Description
As technology moves forwards, electrical and electronic engineering is becoming of significant importance, featuring heavily in all areas including - but not limited to - electric vehicles, manufacturing, power generation, transmission and distribution networks, smart devices, communication and information systems.
Graduates from this programme will be equipped with skills and knowledge at the forefront of their discipline to meet the specialised needs of industry, thus enhancing graduate employability. The sustainability of modern life is dependent upon the reduction of carbon emissions through increased energy efficiency of electrical devices and the use of electric vehicles.
To support these societal needs, the new generation of engineers must be able to understand new and emerging technologies which will come about in the not-too-distant future. This programme is designed to enhance industrial relevance by focusing on the practical application of theory whilst maintaining academic rigour.
