Course Description

The NHS is changing in Wales. It has never been so difficult to gain a place in Nursing and similar professional roles including midwifery, paramedic science, radiography and occupational therapy. If you are one of the 52% of applicants who have not received a place in your first choice health professional degree, then this is the course for you. This unique programme is designed to increase your chances of gaining entry into your first choice degree. We will develop your knowledge and ability in the core concepts, theories and underpinning knowledge of nursing and related subjects while training you in the skills needed to succeed in higher education. The Dip HE Nursing Studies and Health Programme is offered as flexible route qualification. This means you are able to keep applying to your first choice degree while you study with us and leave the course at the end of year one or two depending on when you gain your place. We know that you do not want to give up on your goals – and we are here to work with you to reach them, no matter what barriers you may have had in your way.
