Course Description

The BTEC HND in Construction and the Built Environment course is intended as a vocational qualification within the construction industry. It is also ideal for those who are already working in, or training for a technician role in the construction industry and are looking to enhance their qualifications to progress in their career.

The aim of this course is to develop students with a technical understanding of the Construction and the Built environment industry including the application of proven techniques and theories for the solution of real life problems.

The units are integrated into a programme of continuous assessment through assignments and timed tests. There are several components to the assessment, both theoretical and practical.

Qualification requirements

Including a relevant subject/science @ C or above (80 UCAS tariff points)

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

Applicants would normally be expected to have a Level 3 qualification in a related subject. Entry requirements are for guidance only. We welcome students with equivalent qualifications and combinations. Please contact us to discuss further.

For students staying in student halls, costs of water, gas, electricity, wifi are generally included in the rental.
