Course Description

Our BSc (Hons) Geography degree gives you the opportunity to develop your knowledge across the entire subject, from ecosystems and hydrology to urban landscapes and social inequalities. Fieldwork and ‘real world’ learning are central to the course; the University is centrally located in York and this provides opportunities to get out of the classroom to visit other places in the region, such as the North York Moors or the Yorkshire coast.

If you are interested in the whole of Geography, and topics like global issues, sustainability and citizenship, then the Geography degree is the course for you. From biogeography and habitat management to cultural geography and changing cities, this course ensures you develop your knowledge across the breadth of the subject throughout all levels of the degree. Fieldwork is at the heart of what we do: come and join in!
