Student Opinions About Studying in Canberra

“Canberra has a town feel to it, which I appreciate, as it’s not like the busy and noisy city that I used to live in. I would recommend having a car if you plan living here, as the public transport is simply unreliable in most cases.”

“What I like the most about studying here is that everyone is focused on their studies but we balance it with a good social life, and outdoor sports to enjoy the views and the weather.”

“The locals here think that a 30 minute drive is a long commute, which is funny for me coming from Boston. Needless to say, everything is fairly close, but a car is needed. It’s quite far from the nearest beach, so anybody thinking about living here should be aware that it’s not the image of Australia that you might have in your mind!”
