Student Opinions About Studying in Lynchburg
“The city is quite safe, making you feel much more comfortable when making plans and meeting up with people late in the evening. There are many shops and restaurants and multiple parks for us to enjoy. There are also multiple hiking trails that are less than an hour away, so if you’re a nature lover like me you’ll be happy to have that.”
“It’s an affordable city to live in, perfect for students living independently for the first time. The academic options are varied here, so there’s likely to be a university that suits your needs. After I finish my degree in Criminal Justice at Liberty University I plan to stay here for a few years more, and hopefully find employment.”
“The universities and colleges in the area bring a lot of students here, so I would describe Lynchburg as a student city. Downtown is the most cosmopolitan area, with restaurants and bars to hang out in with friends after class. Living costs are cheaper than I expected, which has made living by myself for the first time much less scary.”
