Cardiff Metropolitan University, also known as CardiffMet, was established in 1976 in the small city of Cardiff, Wales. This university holds more than 1,000 student residence rooms, and it takes pride in that the accommodation here is more than just a place to sleep. “As a first-timer living away from home it has been a bit overwhelming, but all in all it’s been an enriching experience. My only complaint is that sometimes it wasn’t made clear what the teachers were looking for in our assignments, and the marking scheme seemed a bit subjective. It didn’t impact me too much, fortunately.”
“I’ve managed to get valuable experience thanks to the huge selection of extracurricular opportunities offered on-campus by CardiffMet, which has made my CV look much more professional and marketable to employers.”
“You get the chance to meet a lot of new people that aren’t necessarily on your course thanks to all the social events that the university hosts. I particularly enjoyed their Eisteddfod festival, and I’d like to see more activities like that rather than the strong focus on sports that usually.”
