Student Reviews for Falmouth University
- Student satisfaction:
- 4.0 (based on 58 student reviews)
“Falmouth is a beautiful beach town with many stores and cafes, mainly independent businesses, that are always a good way to spend your time. Besides that, the university experience hasn’t been great for me as my lecturers tend to just show a PowerPoint and give no proper detailed information about the course. It has been quite disappointing in that respect.”
“The good thing about FU is the amount of studios that it has to offer and the state-of-the-art equipment that students can always borrow when needed.”
“I found the student services staff to be very helpful when I needed advice, and I’m grateful for the support they offered me. However, I’m not happy with the resident halls, I feel that the quality isn’t there in relation to what we pay. Falmouth is a place that suits those who want to escape the city life.”
About Falmouth University
PROS
- Students are happy with the facilities at Falmouth, such as dark rooms for photography, subtropical gardens, theatre spaces, and a library with a considerable collection of volumes.
- A recurring highlight from students is that the career advisors office gives unique insights into possible career steps, with their vast experience. The university also collaborates closely with businesses in Falmouth, creating opportunities for work placements.
- The campus is near the sea, which will suit those who love to breathe the ocean air and be far away from metropolitan noise.
CONS
- Falmouth is far away from the major cities in England, and this makes it that travel expenses are high when going anywhere.
- The student accommodation is a bit aged, and could use some renovation in certain areas, students claim. Even so, it’s not an issue that will greatly impact students’ stays.
