Griffith University is public, research-based, and located in the southern suburbs of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Griffith considers that being an exception to the norm and challenging convention is crucial to true innovation and making a difference on a local and global level alike. The very first degrees ever to come from Griffith University in the 1970s were in Environmental Science and Asian Studies. Of course, their course offerings have expanded exponentially since then, but the outstanding education in Environmental Sciences and their community commitment continue to be vital to the university’s reputation.
