New City College (NCC) is a large-scale institution that operates from campus locations in both Essex and East London. There are a total of 5 campuses in each of these locations, with specialist facilities provided for the diverse range of courses offered at each site.
About New City College
PROS
- School leavers and adult learners both have access to a diverse selection of courses, which include traditional university preparation in the form of A -levels, as well as courses which lead more directly to employment such as their vocational courses.
- NCC offers the opportunity to travel abroad for short courses or work experience, with the expenses mostly paid for in advance by the college. These can include work experience placements in Europe for BTEC students, or 2 -week programmes at universities in countries such as Thailand for Hospitality and Catering students.
CONS
- New City College is not able to provide student accommodation of their own, which can force applicants to have to pay for costly private rentals in the city of London. The majority of international NCC students live with Homestay families, as it’s the best way to keep expenses down.
