• There is an exceptionally wide range of vocational subjects to choose from at this college, making NWSLC the ideal place to study for those people who prefer to learn new skills and go directly into the world of paid employment as soon as possible.
• According to students, the teaching staff are experienced professionals who plan well -structured activities, and also that these activities build upon the subjects that have previously been covered in the course. Teachers make themselves available for individual feedback when required, which is made possible by the relatively low number of students in relation to the number of teachers.
• Each campus location is fitted with specialist facilities for certain subject groups, such as Harrowbrook with its construction and trades workshops, Hinckley for creative arts studios, and Wigston and Nuneaton housing the majority of the college’s general courses and resources. CONS

• Learners who have enrolled on English and Maths classes to complement their studies have complained that extra classes are poorly integrated with the students’ main course, with timetable incompatibility issues being a common problem.
• NWSLC does not provide A -level courses, although the college does offer Access to Higher Education courses. Applicants should consult with their universities of choice to confirm whether they will accept these kinds of courses as valid, because this depends on each organisation.
• According to the college’s own statistics, a low percentage of young GCSE students earn grade 4 or above. Grade 4 is considered the minimum for enjoying a reasonable degree of academic mobility.
