Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) has maintained its strong reputation in Arts, Design and Media education since its establishment in 1845. NUA is located in Norwich, one of Britain’s greenest, safest cities which incidentally, and perhaps not coincidentally, also has a thriving Art and Music Scene. “My overall university experience so far has been positive. I’ve met interesting and kind people through the events that the campus organises for residential students. The assignments take a bit of getting used to as you’re expected to work independently as an artist.”

“I’m a bit divided on what I think of my course, as I’m satisfied by the quality of the information provided by lecturers and how knowledgeable they are, however the courses are not well-structured or planned out, so that could definitely be improved.”

“It is difficult to get staff to answer emails, so you’re better off tracking them down after class to ask any questions you might have.”

  • A common source of praise is the university’s diverse and advanced facilities, including Munnings Drawing Studio, the Ideas Factory, the Digital Darkroom, among many more.
  • The majority of the international students at NUA appreciate that the university hosts comprehensive orientation sessions for foreign students.

CONS

  • Some mention that it is difficult to get emails answered by tutors, so they recommend future students to try to ask questions in class or in person after class.
