“Oxford Brookes University has provided me with transferable business skills that I can bring back to my workplace and life in general. I only have positive things to say about my MBA experience here.”

“Accommodation should be cheaper than what it is, and more organised with making sure that students obey the rules and so on. I will say that I’M happy with the social aspect though, as there's a lot of societies and clubs to choose from, particularly for sports which they’ve invested a lot of funding in.”

PROS

  • Students highlight the superb facilities on offer, including a climbing wall, swimming pools, sports pitches and courts, and even a boathouse. Apart from the sports side of things, there are also bars, cafes and study areas throughout the campus.
  • One of the most recurring positives expressed by learners is that lecturers make themselves available outside of class hours. This means that students can contact them when they need their expertise most.
  • Learners are overall happy with the Student Union and the vast options for sports -based clubs to join.

CONS

  • Some students express that the Careers department could be improved, especially when it comes to helping international students find employment.
  • Many students complain about a lack of organisation within the residential administration office, and also that the residence halls are overpriced for what is offered.
