Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) was founded in 1989 in the Mile End district of London. This Russell Group University offers state-of-the-art facilities, including their Advanced Molecular Imaging Services, and the Genome Centre for DNA research at Barts and the London School of Medicine, among numerous others for a wide variety of subject matters. “The social life here has been my favourite aspect, as there’s always something going on, and joining societies and clubs has made my experience so much better! The location is ideal for those wanting to explore Central London whenever they get the chance. I wouldn’t recommend it for those looking for a relaxed university environment, as there is a pronounced party culture here.”
“The number of students enrolled has increased dramatically in the last couple of years which means that lectures are now full of people which is quite frustrating when trying to ask questions during class. Despite that, the location and facilities are unbeatable.”
“Careers Service is poor, avoid going there for advice and try to ask your personal tutors and lecturers instead, who are probably more experienced and helpful. The accommodation at QMUL is modern and well-maintained. I’m happy with my overall experience.”
