Rush University was established in 1972, but its history goes back to the founding of Rush Medical College in 1837. RushU is a private institution located in the city of Chicago, Illinois. It specialises in the Health Sciences and comprises a Medical College and Academic Medical Center, a School of Nursing, a College of Health Sciences and a Graduate College. In 2012 the university opened a new leading edge facility that quickly became an icon of the Chicago skyline, where nurses and doctors from Rush University worked closely with architects to create an ideal clinical environment.
