St Mary’s University is a publicly funded, formally Roman Catholic education institution situated in Twickenham, London. This university is best known for the impressive selection of sport and wellbeing degrees that they have on offer, but applicants can also expect to find degrees based on Catholic Education. The Twickenham campus is smaller than that of most other universities that can be found in and around London, and for that reason could be more suited to that learner which truly excels in an environment that isn’t excessively crowded, and where they can consult knowledgeable and experienced tutors easily without long waiting times.

Student Ratings for St Mary's University, Twickenham
“I studied Strength and Conditioning Science at St Mary’s, and before I had even finished the degree I had the opportunity to work closely with Rosslyn Park Rugby Club. The quality of tuition I received allowed me to separate myself from the average trainer, adding value for my clients I work with today.”
“This is definitely a demanding university to study Law at, and there were times I wasn’t sure I would make it to the end. The only reason I did is thanks to the exceptional support offered by my lecturers whenever I asked for it. If small class sizes are important for you, this could be the place for you.”
About St Mary's University, Twickenham
PROS
- Two separate libraries provide facilities for everyone, ensuring that there are always study spaces available and the materials that each learner needs.
- For those students living outside of the university’s accommodation, West and Central London offer varied public transport options to the campus. This makes living in private accommodation a realistic possibility.
- One of the particular focuses for this university is the high levels of funding for sports science and activities. St Mary’s works closely with professional athletes and coaches across the country, and for this reason attracts the most ambitious in these fields.
CONS
- When it comes to social opportunities, many agree that the nightlife in the area is limited. However, the university compensates this by hosting a variety of events throughout the year.
