The University of Cumbria is an institution whose stated aims are to develop the region’s talent and capabilities, and also to attract new talent into the region. The university operates out of 7 distinct campuses, two of which are situated within World Heritage sites and is the only university in the UK to be set in a national park. Each distinct campus has something unique to offer prospective students.

- Small class sizes help facilitate a more dynamic and fluid relationship with lecturers. This helps teaching staff get to know the individual needs of each student.
- Students highlight the up -to -date and modern library as one of the most useful features of the university, with its large collection of physical and digital resources.
- The on -site food is fairly priced, according to students, citing high quality and varying menus.
CONS
- Numerous students have complained that there is an overdependence on group assignments. This is frustrating for students who would prefer to be responsible for their own work.
